Whether you’re a fan of the NFL’s indianapolis colts or not, you’ve probably heard about them. They’re an American football team based in Indianapolis, and they play games in Lucas Oil Stadium.
Peyton Manning
Throughout his 18-year career, Peyton Manning has been a great football player. He has been named an All-Pro 10 times, and has received eight AFC Offensive Player of the Week awards. He has also won two Super Bowls and was inducted into the Colts’ Ring of Honor last year.
Manning was considered one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for a few years, but he missed the entire 2011 season due to a neck injury. The Colts’ offense averaged 15.2 points per game that season, and Manning’s lack of playing time led to a disappointing season.
Manning returned for the 2012 season after missing a year due to injury. The Colts had a solid season, but they finished with a record of 6-5. They ended up in the AFC South’s basement, but they were still able to keep themselves in contention for a playoff spot.
Andrew Luck
During the NFL’s 2013 playoffs, Andrew Luck led the Indianapolis Colts to the second-largest comeback in NFL playoff history. He finished his rookie season with a 71.2 quarterback rating and set career highs in completions, attempts and completion percentage. He also led the Colts to the AFC championship game in his second season.
In his first three seasons, Andrew Luck earned Pro Bowl honors. In 2014, he set a number of rookie records, including the most passing yards by a rookie quarterback and most passing touchdowns by a rookie quarterback. He also established a career-high in completion percentage, attempts, completions and touchdowns.
Andrew Luck had an excellent NFL career, but injuries and nagging injuries caused his career to come to an end. Luck also suffered from shoulder and abdominal injuries. He also suffered from a partial labrum repair in January.
Mike Jansen
Thousands of Colts fans are calling on the Indianapolis Colts to bring back former announcer Mike Jansen. The former voice of the Colts was fired in September. He’s now living in Broad Ripple with wife Bev and their three children.
Jansen, who has worked as an announcer for the Colts since 1998, has been a fixture in the stadium for 24 years. He’s also been the voice of the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field and announced a number of Big Ten events in Lucas Oil Stadium.
Jansen didn’t expect to be an announcer for the NFL. He graduated from Bishop Chatard High School, majored in business at Ball State, and worked in video production before he started his career in the audio and video field.
When he auditioned for the Colts, he didn’t expect to get the job. Instead, he thought he’d be able to find an internship in his field. He didn’t have any luck in finding an internship, but he did find a voiceover job. He ended up doing voiceover work for a television commercial. That job led to other voiceover work. He eventually started his own company, Praxis Media Group. This company has produced videos for the Marlin Jackson foundation and Peyton Manning’s foundation.
Ravens
Defending AFC North champion Baltimore Ravens will play against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football. The two teams will be playing for the first time in nearly a year. The Colts are 1-3 and Baltimore is 3-1, but they are atop the AFC North. This game will be played at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. The game is scheduled to begin at 12:15 AM UTC.
The Ravens have won three straight games and have started the season 3-1 on the road. Baltimore is hoping to break the NFL record for consecutive 100-yard rushing games. The Ravens have rushed for at least 100 yards in 44 of their last 45 games.
The Baltimore Ravens are one of only two teams in the NFL to be undefeated through the first two weeks. They are also one of two teams to be in the top ten in scoring in the first two weeks.
New York Jets
Those of you who watch football can’t miss the upcoming game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Jets. These teams have had some close calls this season, and both are 3-5. The Colts have also had a couple close losses, but they are 1-0 against the spread at home.
Indianapolis has also been playing some good football since Week 6. They are a prototypical middle-of-the-road team that is in good position to make the playoffs.
In the first half, the Colts let an interception go out of the red zone. The Jets quickly recovered it, and then had the ball on the Colts’ 43. It ended up being a touchdown as T.J. Carrie took the interception back for the score.
The Jets’ defense has been giving up three touchdowns in coverage this season. Xavier Rhodes and Mo Alie-Cox are both dangerous red-zone threats.
